Haciendas Tour with Buga and Mr. de los Milagros

The cultivation of sugar cane in Valle del Cauca left immense wealth. Testimony of this are the sumptuous haciendas that are still preserved in the region today, some of which have been transformed into house-museums where the stately atmosphere of the 19th century can still be breathed. Among these, the Hacienda El Paraíso stands out, immortalized in the romantic novel María, by Jorge Isaacs. the Cañasgordas Hacienda and the Piedechinche Hacienda, which today houses the Cane Museum. The visitor can learn about the cultivation of cane and the production of sugar, in the same way they can stay in other less famous but equally beautiful properties, which offer extensive comforts and services.

One of the best ways to visit Mr. de los Milagros in Buga is to enjoy a full day from Cali, in which we visit the most important Haciendas in Valle del Cauca. With these visits we will have the opportunity to learn about the history of Sugar Cane and how it influenced the culture and flavor of Valle Caucanos. We will also be able to see what life was like for the landowners of the Valley and discover one of the most beautiful novels in history "La Maria" by Jorge Isaacs.
Travelguias.net has a program that includes the fantastic gastronomy of the Valley with a Lunch with the famous ¨Sancocho de Gallina¨ of Geneva.
This program can be done for groups of schools, groups of the elderly, religious groups and pilgrimages, including a visit to Divino Ecce-homo.
